"Writing Your Novel", a hands-on class for writers with novels in progress or ready to begin, will be taught by Peter Kahle, starting September 11. The comprehensive course draws on a range of writing concepts from Christopher Vogler's The Writer's Journey, to John Gardner's The Art of Fiction and E.M. Forster's Aspects of a Novel. Classes will include writing exercises, critiques of participants' chapters and presentations in a non-threatening environment. Small class size--no more than eight--provides plenty of individual attention. A published author, Peter's most recent book is Naked at the Podium: The Writer's Guide to Successful Readings, which he co-wrote with acting coach Melanie Workhoven. He is a past president of the Pacific Northwest Writers Association.

"Your class looks great and I envy the participants. It's
good to know you'll be out there teaching novel writing. I'll forward this
on to my former students who've been asking for a recommendation."

"I wanted to let you know that I have found your critiques to be very
helpful. It is the part of the class I valued the most. I appreciate your
